Teddy Makadi, the rising music star in the country, has finally addressed the swirling rumors about his relationships with Tuno MW and Nana during his appearance on the Jaa Kev – Kelvin Ngumuya podcast show.
With candor and clarity, Makadi set the record straight, revealing the real stories behind the headlines. “I have to admit; yes we kissed with Tuno just once. It was just a kiss and it ended there. I never had feelings for her,” he said.
With Nana he also confessed: “I won’t lie; we kissed, but it was just a normal kiss.”

During the podcast show, Makadi wasted no time in confronting the rumors about Tuno MW.
“Let me break down what happened between me and Tuno,” he began. “We were friends, just normal friends.”
He added that the confusion stemmed from his mention of Tuno in a song, which many assumed referred to an ex-girlfriend. Makadi clarified that it was purely a publicity stunt they had agreed upon.
“We discussed it beforehand, and she even gave me the go-ahead,” he revealed.
The musician also addressed speculation about his relationship with Nana. “Nana and I are just good friends, even today,” he said.
Makadi admitted he once had romantic intentions but decided to step back out of respect for Nana’s relationship with her fiancé. He emphasized he did this due to his own conscious as there was no drama or confusion with Nana’s fiancé.
Makadi also opened up about the backstory of his hit song ‘Malele.’
Initially, he had planned to feature renowned artist Namadingo, but things did not go as expected.
“Everything was set, but unfortunately, Namadingo didn’t show up,” Makadi disclosed.
Undeterred, he recorded the song in Zambia.
Despite the setback, ‘Malele’ turned out to be a breakthrough hit, earning him new fans and opportunities. “You might have your own plans, but God also has His own plans,” he said, reflecting on the song’s success.
With his candid revelations, Teddy Makadi has not only cleared the air but also reminded fans of the power of authenticity and perseverance in the face of rumors and setbacks.
